The UC Davis Facility for Interconnect Technology has been been developing methods for electrical interconnection for the use in high energy physics experiments and generic particle physics R&D since its inception in 2009. Located in Davis, California in the Department of Physics, UCD-FIT investigates a number of technologies associated with the bonding of ASICs, detector components, transmission cables, and various package and substrate materials.
